"Affirm Your Good Health"

In any moment in which you're experiencing thoughts that make you feel sick or bad, do your best to change them to thoughts that support the idea of feeling good. Refuse to talk about disease; and work to activate thoughts that predict recovery and overall well-being.

Family and friends: I'm ready. Feeling really loved and supported. I'm so blessed and fortunate to have my loving family and friends sending love and positive energy, praying for me. I feel it! Keep it coming!

I KNOW I can get through this.

Love you all!

I just got a message from my doctor indicating that the wire will be placed in my lump on Monday, Jun 29 at 1:30 in Radiology. This tells me my surgery will be scheduled for that afternoon. I won’t know the time of the surgery for another week or so.

Surgery Date Set

Today was a big day. I met with the surgeon and Oncology nurse. Learned a lot. The Dr. recommends I have a lumpectomy. This will involve the removal of the milk dud and breast tissue around it plus some lymph nodes. When I get the all clear, (clear margins) then I'll start radiation treatment (sometime mid-July). This will involve 5 weeks, 5x's a week, 15 minute sessions each day of radiation treatment. My understanding is that the only side effects will be a sunburn on the targeted area.

The lumpectomy is an out-patient procedure. Recovery time is between 2-5 days. I plan to take the whole week off.

Well, that's it for now. If I think of something else that was discussed today, I'll post later.

My friend pulled these cards for me today, very appropriate I think:

From Wayne Dyer’s The Power of Intention Cards:
“Raise Your Energy Vibration” (front of card)
“Every thought that you have impacts you. By shifting in the middle of a weakening thought to one that strengthens, you raise your energy vibration and strengthen yourself and the immediate energy field.”
(back of card)

From the Deepak Chopra Manifesting Good Luck Deck:
“I stop all worrying.” (front of card)
“When I stop worrying things don’t bother me anymore, and I become lighthearted and full of joy.” (back of card)

I want to create a positive space to post updates on my journey

Not sure if this is the right way of doing it. Facebook seemed to complicated for the non-facebook world. CarePage seemed too depressing. Had CANCER written all over it. I don't have cancer. I have a lump (aka: Milk Dud) in my right breast that has cancer.

I think this will be a good way to express my feelings. Wrapping my head around the idea of this lump has been a challenge for me. But I'm learning to deal with my fears of the unknown. Knowing I have amazing support is what's getting me through this.

Feel free to leave a message on this site.
