Hot day in the big city.

What a day. Mom and Dad took me to Urban Solice for lunch(thanks Lane for turning me on to that place). Yummy. All day I've been feeling buzzed, and really worn out. Had long naps. It was difficult to say bye to my parents, they headed back to 29 Palms late this afternoon. Thanks mom and dad for all your support! I loved every minute of your visit!

I needed my hair washed terribly. Nolan did the job. Not only did he do an amazing job, he was very gentle. Brought tears to my eyes. Then we sat outside and he brushed my hair. While we sat outside, enjoying the moment, he came up with a very cool idea. He grabbed a bunch of tiny rocks and formed a heart. Then he asked me to take one of the rocks and "make a wish". I did. He did the same. Then he took the two rocks and buried them and outlined the area w/ the rocks used to form the heart. Took my breath away.

Tate just got home from soccer practice. The boys have been amazing through all this. I'm one lucky mama! I had asked the boys to watch Pretty in Pink w/ me, so they could see Ducky (Alan from 2 1/2 Men). Tate watched the movie w/ me, even though it was not an action packed movie. Meant a lot to kick it w/ my boys. Man, I loved that movie back in the 80's. Great sound track!

Hi Nancy,

I'm laying here in my bed, trying to stay cool, you're right about it being a hot day in the big city. I just ordered a portable air conditioner for my bedroom cuz if mom ain't happy nobody's happy. :O) Laying next to me in his little bed is our cute little Chihuahua, Pepe. He's the third baby I never had. We're just kicking it and I wanted to catch up on your journey. Sounds like you had a pretty amazing day with Tate and Nolan and your parents. You're so blessed! I've been thinking about you and want you to know that I love you! Monique

Hi Nancy,
Getting ready for my work day...settled in at the desk with a cup of coffee and ready to get going on a busy day! On top of my "to do" list is to check in on Nancy!! Your boys sound amazing...isn't it awesome the comfort our kids can give to us when we need it, sometimes just by being close! Let them spoil you, you deserve it. Glad you got to spend time with your parents. What wonderful people...I still remember your Mom's beautiful smile! You have a good day today...stay positive and allow others to help in anyway they can...you just be good to yourself and continue to get better. Much love to you on this beautiful Tuesday!!
Jill
PS. Here is one of my very favorite quotes "Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain!" I believe I can see you dancing!!

Dearest Nancy, What a lovely and delightful day with your sweet parents and wonderful sons. You truly deserve to be pampered and well taken care of. I know you will enjoy every minute of it. You are blessed with great boys and they are blessed with a superb mom who is an amazing woman, wife, sister and friend. I loved "Pretty in Pink" too, great movie. I think of you and pray that you have more peaceful and special days. Love, Merri
